Privacy policy
Last updated: June 2026
Short version: we keep this simple. Stoopid Pigeon is an editorial site — you don't need an account, we don't run ads, we don't use tracking cookies, and we don't sell your data. This page explains what little we do collect and why.
Who we are
Stoopid Pigeon (“we”, “us”) publishes plain-English reference articles about betting and casino games at stoopidpigeon.com. We are an independent publication, not a gambling operator. For any privacy question, contact us via our contact page.
What we collect
- Aggregate analytics. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. It records anonymous, aggregated data such as page views, referrer and approximate region. It does not set cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you.
- Standard server logs. Like most websites, our host may keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type, time of request) to keep the site secure and working. These are not used to identify individuals.
- Anything you send us. If you email us, we receive the message and your email address so we can reply. We use it for that purpose only.
We do not collect names, payment details or account data, because the site has no sign-up, no payments and no user accounts.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics are cookieless. Your browser may store basic technical preferences, but we don't set marketing or profiling cookies. Because of this, there's no consent banner to click through.
Third parties
Our analytics provider processes the anonymous, aggregated data described above on our behalf. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone. Some articles link to external sites (for example, gambling-support organisations); once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies — we have no control over it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to request a copy, or to ask us to delete it. Since we hold almost no personal data, this usually only applies to emails you've sent us. To make a request, get in touch and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Children
This site covers gambling topics and is intended for adults of legal age in their jurisdiction (typically 18 or 21). It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under the legal age.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here rather than emailed, since we don't hold a mailing list.
